Description: Small bowl by important California ceramic artist Glen Lukens. This bowl is hand thrown and has a white crazed base glaze with blue decoration. Lukens studied ceramics at the Art Institute of Chicago. He moved to California in 1924 and in 1936 became a professor of ceramics at the University of Southern California. Many of his students went on to become prominent ceramic artists.
